Central East Austin
Central East Austin has perhaps seen the most transformation over the past decade in Austin as far as development and prices. Central East Austin has become a highly-sought after area in Austin and very much exemplifies the more eclectic, artsy vibe that Austin has to offer. Houses here start in the $300s and quickly increase in the upper range of a million dollars. Popular Central East Austin neighborhoods include Holly, East Riverside, East Cesar Chavez, Govalle, Rosewood, and Cherrywood. The more north end of Central East Austin also includes the highly-desirable master planned community Mueller, as well as the Windsor Park and University Hills neighborhoods just north of Mueller. These areas offers sensible and practical housing options for folks who are seeking a more affordable but still centrally located part of town.
Central East Austin also features Manor Road district, which is located on the south end of the Cherrywood neighborhood. Once a sleepy street in Austin, Manor Road is now typically packed with locals and visitors who seek to have an authentic Austin experience at one of the many local bars, restaurants, and coffee shops that the Manor Road district has to offer. A more ‘laid-back’ part of town, Central East Austin has something to offer for all. There is plenty of walking and green space also located in Mueller and Patterson Neighborhood Park.
